Driver Information
Right after I was born, my brother Travis Gibson got a Street Stock back in the day. His uncle, Jeff Estes, also got a race car as well at the same time one (of today's) biggest names in Super Late Models. That was back in 1991 and I was born in 1990. So from 1992 to 1998, my brother raced at "The Gap" and we went to watch him. I was so young I don't really remember watching him but, I remember his car on the trailer in the front yard some times the night after he raced. Then he stopped racing to help out Jeff, who had just moved up to Open Wheel Modifies. They started going to Atomic Speedway, and I went with my sister-in-law in the stands and watched him race. That's what got me into racing, those three individuals in particular. From then on I knew I was hooked and I wanted to do it but I didn't know exactly how much money it would take to do it, but now I know and good grief it is expensive! But I know I wouldn't change it for the world. So as the years have gone on, I have been a crew member for many people, but for the past 5 years I have been in Newport as a part-time guy and I wouldn't change that for anything. That man that remains nameless, I owe a lot of credit to because he has taken me in and has taught me a lot about building and racing these cars. I have seen him at the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Through it all he still remains the same. That most importantly has taught me whatever this sport throws at you, just keep going and don't give up. Also it's really cool to be able to say that you are good friends with one of your heroes in life.
Career Highlights
Highest finish in go-karts was second. Highest finish in Sportsman Late Model is 7th (but that is about to change).
Hobbies
I like going fishing, hunting, going to car shows, going on trips to anywhere, going to museums especially if they are racing related.
