Haiden Cowan Competes in Cotton Pickin' Weekend

Haiden Cowan rolled into Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) over the weekend to enter the 2023 edition of the Cotton Pickin' with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS).

On Friday, 46 CCSDS entries were on hand, and Haiden started the night on a high note by qualifying sixth fastest in his time trial group before winning his heat race from the third-starting spot, which marked his first-career Super Late Model heat race win.

In the $4,000-to-win, 40-lap feature Haiden ran in the Top 10 for much of the feature before ultimately registering a 13th-place finish.

On Saturday the winner's purse increased to $12,000 as the car count grew to 47. Haiden charged from fifth-to-third in his heat race to earn the ninth-starting spot for the 60-lap finale.

He went on to record a 12th-place finish on the trick 3/8-mile oval.
