Brake Issues Bite Vanderheiden at U.S. 30
Cole Vanderheiden rolled into U.S. 30 Speedway (Albion, Neb.) on Friday night, where he started his outing with an impressive sixth-to-first charge in his heat race.
Via the heat race win, he lined up fifth for the feature event. Unfortunately, brake issues paired with a leaking fuel line in the feature caused him to fade backwards to an 11th-place finish.
Saturday's event at the Nebraska oval fell victim to rain.
