"Tiffany Overcomes Adversity At Jacksonville"
After inclimate weather put a damper on getting the the season underway, Tiffany and team were back in action at the Jacksonville Speedway for an open 410 show.
Adversity would strike early in the evening as the FK Rod Ends, Wyzard Cleaning Service, Creative Whitetails #5 slowed early in the first hot lap session. Tiffany and crew began diagnosing the issue immediately upon arrival in the pit area. After pulling the valve covers to make sure the powerplant had not gone sour, the team soon began the troubleshooting process. The ignition box was the first component changed to no avail. The cap was also pulled off the magneto to make sure it was rotating and sending spark, neither solving the issue. The next item changed was the fuel pump, which turned out to be the culprit.
The team was able to get things ready just in time for Tiffany's Heat Race, the first of two on the evening. She would start fifth and finish fifth, however not without some excitement. On the original start, Tiffany would make contact with the cars directly in front of her, making a nice save as the car shot over the berm on the frontstretch, bringing out the caution. Tiffany would find her comfort zone throughout the race, keeping the car corralled on an extreme rough racing surface.
Soon after completion of the 410 Sprint Heats, rain began to fall eventually turning into a torrential downpour, forcing a premature end to the event.
