Rock Gault Memorial brings Martin to Gaffney

Friday night saw Parker Martin return with the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) for the two-day Rock Gault Memorial. With the 43-car field split into two separate groups for a pair of preliminary features, Parker posted a 10th-place finish in his heat, which positioned him 20th on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $5,000 on the line, Martin was an early retiree from the 25-lapper on lap 16.

Persistent rain overnight postponed Saturday’s $40,000-to-win finale to a later date to be named.
