Martin attends World of Outlaws doubleheader in Pennsylvania

Making the 11-hour trip north, Parker Martin traveled to Lincoln Speedway (Abbottstown, Pa.) on Thursday afternoon to take part in the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned program. Drawing 38 cars for the Billy Vacek and Huey Wilcoxon Memorial, Martin was one of two cars that failed to record a lap in time trials. Posting a 10th place finish in his heat race, Parker transferred into the B-Main for one last shot at the opening night feature. Locking the Top 3 into the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Martin marched forward six spots to place fifth but fell short of transferring.

The following night at Williams Grove Speedway (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) for the $10,000 top prize, Parker came in 18th fastest in his qualifying group before placing 10th in his heat. Needing a third place finish or better in his B-Main to make the A-Main, Martin recorded a ninth place outing.
