Eric Schulz
Double Header at Rocky
The past week you could find Eric racing twice at Rapid Speedway. On the regular Friday night show the track had problems with fuses blowing out for the track lights. As the crowd and racers waited, Eric seized the opportunity to go up into the stands and sign some autographs for the kids. When the lights came back on, it was time for the start of the sprint A-main, where Eric would be starting in 8th place. With tight racing through-out the field, the racing was furious and the Papik Motors #4 Sprinter found its way to 3rd at the end of it all. “It was a fun race, running with these guys is always tight,” stated Eric as he dried the sweat off his face.
On Tuesday it was a fair race at Rocky. “There is something special about fair races, I don’t know what it is, but the atmosphere is just more electric!” Eric pushed off in the 4th spot for his heat race and moved into 2nd after some slick moves. He worked on 1st for quite a few laps before sneaking around, planted on the cushion. “The track was greasy during the early stages of the race, but a cushion was formed then I could hold the loud pedal down, all the way around the track! It was a great feeling running flat out!” Exclaimed an excited Schulz. In the feature Eric found himself starting in 8th again and would charge hard on a fast track, winding up in 4th!
Look for Eric next at Husets Speedway in his 410 as he test his metal against the All-Star Circuit of Champions on Sunday the 31st! Remember to check back for more updates and photo’s as the year goes on, and friend Eric Schulz Racing on facebook for up to date happenings!
