The $2,500 triumph marked the third Super Late Model triumph and eighth overall win this season for the 15-year-old.

“What a great night we had at Potomac,” Troutman said. “I want to especially thank LaSalle’s Engines and Chassis for the motor they just built for our super program that carried us to this win. I also want to thank all the people that are behind me and make this possible. Thank you all so much!”

Kicking off the three-day weekend in the Super Late Model ranks, Drake Troutman invaded Potomac Speedway on Friday afternoon. Troutman followed up fifth fastest time overall in qualifying with a second-place finish in his heat.

Receiving the pole position for the A-Main via the redraw, Drake led flag-to-flag to capture his eighth win of the season and a $2,500 payday. Jason Covert, Kenny Moreland, Kyle Hardy, and Dale Hollidge trailed him to the checkers in the 35-lap affair.

The following night at the Greater Cumberland (Md.) Raceway for the Ultimate Northeast Series-sanctioned “Queen City 50,” Drake edged his way into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a third place finish in his heat race.

Rolling off ninth, Troutman was up to fifth and challenging for a podium spot when he blew a right-rear tire. Rejoining the field at the tail, Drake clawed forward to finish 12th.

On Sunday afternoon at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa. for the “King of the Knob,” Drake jumped up two spots in his heat race to place third.

With $3,000 on the line in the feature, Troutman got caught in a tangle with a lapped-car and another competitor that sent him to the tail. Wheeling his way into the Top-10 in the remaining distance, Drake salvaged an eighth-place outing.
