Drake Troutman double dips at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex
For the second consecutive week, Drake Troutman doubled down at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, Pa.
Troutman was victorious in both his Smith Transport No. 7 RFI Resources/ MB Customs UMP Modified and the Kevin Vanhorn-owned No. 83 B-Modified.
“Man was that UMP race a great one! Wow! Last lap clean slider to getter done in 3&4! Great race with Mitch Thomas! Thank you to Lasalle’s Racing Engines, MARS Race Cars and all my sponsors, crew and fans,” Troutman exclaimed.
Taking part in a heated battled with Mitch Thomas in the UMP Modified feature, Troutman executed a last-lap slider over Thomas to secure his 12th win of 2020.
In Kevin Vanhorn’s No. 82 B-Mod, Troutman soared to his second win of the night and 13th overall of the season.
The following night, Troutman headed to the Greater Cumberland (Md.) Raceway for the Zimmer’s United Late Model Series (ULMS) sanctioned contest. Drawing 21 cars, Drake locked his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a fourth-place finish in his heat. Rolling off 11th, Troutman held his spot for all 30 laps to register a 11th place outing.
In the 602 Modified ranks Drake notched a runner-up finish in the feature, trailing Bill VanMeter across the line with Cameron Campbell, Andrew Swope, and Brandon Inglish rounding out the Top-5.
