Sides Back in Action This Friday at Lakeside Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – BARTLETT, Tenn. (Oct. 18, 2021) – Jason Sides is rejuvenated following a week off from racing as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series season featured a rare dormant weekend.
“Having a week off is nice and you can get things back together how you need,” he said. “It gets you to a place where you want to go race. You need those a couple of times throughout the year. It was nice to get refreshed for the last five races.”
Next up is a trip to Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown this Friday.
“We’ve been pretty good in qualifying and the heat race and made the dash a few times, but we haven’t found what we’ve needed in the feature the last few years there,” he said. “It’s a nice track. For those who want to run around the top of the track they can, but they usually have a decent bottom as well.”
Sides’ career-best outing at the oval is a runner-up result in 2013.
“The goal is to win, but realistically a top 10 would be a good night for us,” he said. “With only five races remaining we want to put together a good ending to the season.”
