Closing Out Season with Top-Ten at Charlotte

The Destiny Motorsports #7 team turned out the lights on the 2014 season on Saturday as they signed into The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the final night of the 8th annual World Finals.

Set to go in Concord, North Carolina after securing a front row starting spot for heat race action by virtue of his qualifying efforts, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ led the field to the green in heat three. Needing a win to secure a spot in the all-important dash, Dollansky did just that as he piloted the Aggressive Hydraulics Maxim to the 8-lap heat victory. After the zero pill inversion draw for the dash was drawn, Dollansky started outside row four and finished 9th.

In the 30-lap A-Main the MonDak Portables #7 lined up inside row five. Advancing two positions on the opening lap, ‘The Crowd Pleaser’ continued his march towards the front cracking the top-five after a restart on lap 8. Battling Rico Abreu and Joey Saldana before a caution five circuits later, a tough restart saw the Karavan Trailers backed sprinter lose a few positions but fought until the end taking the checkered flag with a top-ten finish in 10th.

“We had a decent weekend considering how quickly things were prepared with this new team to make it to Charlotte,” commented the Elk River, Minnesota native. "It was very beneficial to get a couple races in prior to the 2015 season as we learned some things that will be helpful. I was very happy with our new team and we’re very proud to be racing with Rick and Barb Rogers and the Destiny Motorsports team.

“We had our share of problems on Friday but Saturday went much better working our way into the top-five in the feature from the fifth row. After that restart our tires stopped working and we just had to ride it out to the end. All in all to have a new team finish in the top-ten with the caliber of competition of 56 teams gives us something to build on. The crew did a great job and we have a great team building with Destiny Motorsports. The 2015 season can’t get here soon enough for me!”
