Thornton rebounds with fifth-place finish in Stock Car ranks at Boone
Coming off a top-10 finish in the Super Late Model ranks on Monday, Dylan Thornton returned to the driver's seat of his Harris Auto Racing No. 38T Modified on Wednesday afternoon as the inaugural Big Deal 24 kicked off at Mississippi Thunder Speedway (Fountain City, Wis.).
With the four-day swing amassing over 140 Modifieds, Thornton was able to compete in his preliminary qualifier on Wednesday but mechanical issues sidelined him for the remainder of the event.
Back in the Hawkeye State on Saturday, Dylan turned in a fifth-place at Boone Speedway (Boone, Iowa) aboard the Jimmy Gustin-owned No. 19 Stock Car. He chased Jake McBirnie, Tyler Pickett, David Smith, and Kevin Opheim across the line in the 25-lapper.
