Shipley records fifth-place finish in Merritt opener

Taking part in the Memorial Day weekend doubleheader, Colin Shipley invaded Merritt Speedway (Merritt, Mich.) on Saturday afternoon to pilot his Domination Race Cars No. 44 Late Model. For the Allstar Performance Challenge Series-sanctioned program on Sunday, Colin secured his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main with a second-place finish in his heat. Coming one spot shy of a Top-10 finish in the 50-lap feature, Shipley recorded an 11th-place finish
