Runner-up finish in Labor Day special at Oakshade Raceway

Taking part in the Labor Day weekend special, Colin Shipley returned to Attica Raceway Park (Attica, Ohio) on Friday afternoon for the $5,000-to-win Attica Ambush. (DirtIsMyGlitter photo)

After darting out to an early race lead in his heat race, Shipley held off Steve Casebolt with a deflating tire to pick up the eight-lap victory. Battling mechanical issues in the 25-lap feature, Colin raced to a fifth-place finish. He trailed Ryan Missler, Devin Moran, Devin Shiels, and Mike Bores to the checkers.

On Saturday afternoon at Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio), Colin followed up the third-fastest qualifying effort with a second-place finish in his heat. Inching forward one spot in the feature, Shipley raced to a second-place finish. He followed Rusty Schlenk across the line with Devin Shiels, Casey Noonan, and Mike Bores completing the Top-5 finishers.
