Sixth-place finish with DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Oakshade

In a field of 29 DIRTcar Late Models, Shipley came in sixth in his heat before picking up a 10-lap consolation victory. With $5,000 on the line in the feature, Colin faded four spots in the 40-lap affair to finish 20th.

Rejoining the DIRTcar Summer Nationals on Saturday, Colin traveled to Oakshade Raceway (Wauseon, Ohio) for the annual Birthday Race. Following the second-fastest time in his group, Shipley secured his spot into the redraw with a heat race win. Receiving the pole, Shipley led the opening nine laps before ultimately fading back to sixth when the checkered flag flew.
