STRONG RUN FOR GOODWIN AT US24
LOGANSPORT, INDIANA - After a month break from Garett's last two races at DuQuoin, the crew made the haul to the HART - Heartland Auto Racing Tour series third event of the season at US 24 Speedway. Right out of the box, the 83 machine was pretty sporty during hot laps. The track was fairly heavy due to the amount of rain it had received all week.
Garett started 3rd in the heat race and was able to make the last transfer spot to the A-Main with a 4th place finish. The team made a few adjustments before the 25 lap A-Main event.
Rolling off in the 14th spot for the main, Garett knew it was going to be a long haul to the front. Goodwin worked his way up to 10th before a late race caution on lap 23. The drivers got lined back up for a green, white, checker and Garett was able to make a last lap pass to bring home a 9th place finish, collecting his first Top Ten of the season!
