Saturated grounds forces cancellation of season opener
by John Rittenoure - TULSA, Okla. (June 2, 2021) - With the track and pit area saturated, and rain stopping work on grandstand area walkways, Friday’s season opener at Tulsa Speedway has been postponed.
The season opener will now take place on Friday, June 18. ASCS Sooner Region sprint cars will highlight the program and will be joined by B-Mods and Factory Stocks.
Tulsa Speedway will be closed on June 11 due to the NHRA Lucas Oil Division races scheduled for the drag strip.
The Sooner Late Model Series, that was slated to run Friday, will return on August 27.
