Kenny Bowers takes Midwest Lightning Sprints at KC Raceway
By Bob Douglas (River Bend, MO) -- The POWRi Midwest Lightning Sprints made their first appearance of the year at KC Raceway. Thanks to Mike Parker and crew for inviting us to run at his track. The crew fought a very wet racing surface early and then we had a shower right before the heat races were finished. A BIG thank you goes to Crest Motorsports, JD Lawson Media, M & M Motorsports, and Anthony’s Chimney Sweep for sponsorship money for the heat races and the feature race. The POWRi Midwest Lighting Sprints next race is Sat nite Sept 19th at I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO. The racing in the Midwest Lightning Sprints is fiercely competitive. With low cost maintenance and motorcycle power, this is still the most economical way to go fast in a race car. These cars are 2 seconds a lap faster than an A Mod or a Late Model.
