Scotty Cook joins announcing staff at new Vado Speedway Park
(Vado, NM) -- Scotty Cook will be re-locating to New Mexico to join the announcing staff at the new Vado Speedway Park which is set to open onFriday June 14.
Cook, who served as pitside reporter with RacinBoys for coverage of the Lucas Oil ASCS as well as the Tulsa Shootout and Chili Bowl for a number of years, is a long time veteran around the dirt tracks. He started out working for the The Nashville Network and Diamond P's coverage of grassroots racing, including the World of Outlaws.
He's also served as track announcer at Capital Speedway, Lake Ozark Speedway, Missouri State Fair Speedway, Central Missouri Speedway, the Warrior Sprint Car Series and the Wingless Auto Racing Series.
"I'm excited for the opportunity and eager help them get started and grow," said Cook. "I have so much respect for Royal (Jones), he is among the very few people I would ever consider leaving my Columbia, Missouri home to work for, and this new facility is truly awesome.'
Cook will team up with Ruben Mireles on the microphone and the weekly Trackside radio show as well as assist with social media.
