Bakersfield, Calif. (February 6, 2024) – In an exciting development for grassroots racing on the West Coast, the all-new Legends Tour West Series is set to make its debut alongside the zMAX CARS Tour West for the 2024 season. The brand-new series will feature a 10-race schedule that mirrors the events and tracks of the debut season of the zMAX CARS Tour West.
The Legends Tour West series, a fresh addition to the motorsports landscape, will be sanctioned and officiated by INEX. It aims to bring together drivers from all U.S. Legend Cars class for a season filled with intense competition, camaraderie, and the pursuit of a championship. By aligning with the zMAX CARS Tour West, this companion series promises a seamless and dynamic experience for both participants and fans alike.
Key Features of the Legends Tour West Series:
• Inaugural 10-Race Schedule: The Legends Tour West Series will embark on its inaugural season with a ten-race schedule, running parallel to the zMAX CARS Tour West. This creates a cohesive and exciting racing calendar for participants and fans.
• Debut on Parallel Tracks and Events: Drivers in the Legends Tour West Series will have the unique opportunity to showcase their talents on the same tracks and at the same events as their counterparts in the zMAX CARS Tour West. This alignment aims to elevate the visibility of Legends Tour West participants.
• INEX Sanctioning: With the series sanctioned and officiated by INEX, participants can expect a fair and standardized competition environment, ensuring a level playing field for all drivers.
• Points System: The series will introduce a Legends Tour West points championship. The series will see drivers of all classes (Master, Semi-Pro, etc.) compete against each other at each of the ten points-paying events. Legends Tour West points will be awarded based on the overall finishing order of each main event, regardless of INEX class. INEX will then award class points for state and national championships based on a driver's finish relative to the other drivers competing in their class.
• Companion Series Debut with zMAX CARS Tour West: The integration of the Legends Tour West with the zMAX CARS Tour West provides a unique opportunity for collaboration and synergy between the two series, offering a comprehensive and engaging experience for drivers and fans.

Founded in the fall of 2014, the zMAX CARS Tour is the Southeast’s premier asphalt Late Model series. Now under the ownership of motorsports icons Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton, Kevin Harvick and Justin Marks, the zMAX CARS Tour began as a quality pavement racing series based in the Carolinas and MidAtlantic region that featured both Late Model Stock Cars and Pro Late Models.
