Andrews Excited About Potential for Great Season-Ending Results

Inside Line Promotions – MANSFIELD, Ohio (Aug. 14, 2018) – While the results show a 16th-place finish, Chris Andrews was pleased with the effort from his Burmeister Racing team during the 2nd annual Great Lakes Dirt Nationals last Saturday at Mansfield Motor Speedway.

Andrews qualified third quickest out of 30 cars and finished fourth in his heat race.

“It’s the best we’ve felt at Mansfield in two years,” he said. “We got our new Kistler engine in and it was a rocket. We were good at the start of the night, but we missed the setup in the feature. Mansfield seems big, but it races like a short track. It has long straights and tight corners. We put an Eldora type setup on and should have stuck with what we do at Fremont and Attica and made smaller changes. But based on what we’ve been doing the past month or so I’m expecting great results the last couple of months of the year.”

Andrews will compete in an All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series Presented by Ohio Logistics race this Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. The team will then make their first appearance of the season at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, for another FAST event on Saturday.

Andrews, the defending Attica Raceway Park champion, is currently sixth in the track’s championship standings with just two points-paying races remaining, including a double-point event. He sits fourth in the FAST standings and is third at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, where he has recorded two wins in 2018.

“Based on what we’ve been doing the past month and the speed we’ve picked up I’m expecting great results the last couple of months of the year,” he added.
