ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints Headlining Saturday At Toccoa Raceway
TULSA, Okla. (May 31, 2017) Southbound to Georgia, and the Toccoa Raceway for a Saturday showdown with the Lucas Oil ASCS Southern Outlaw Sprints in the series only visit in 2017 is what’s in store this weekend.
The series second ever visit to the roughly one-third mile oval, Shane Morgan took top honors in the series 2016 debut. Still hunting for his first win of 2017, Morgan is currently seventh in tour standings with a pair of top-ten finishes to his credit.
Leading the charge into Saturday is Michael Miller with an 83 point advantage over Lane Whittington, and a berth of 90 markers over Kyle Amerson. Tennessee’s Brian Bell holds fourth with Florida’s Nick Snyder making up the top-five in series standings.
The only Sprint Car race on the 2017 lineup at the high-banked Georgia oval, this weekend’s events will include their full weekly lineup of Limited Late Models, Fastrak Pro Late Models, Toccoa Pro Trucks, 602 Sportsman, Modified Street, Stock Four-Cyl., Stock Eight, and FWD. Gates open at 5:00 P.M. (EDT). Admission is $20 for adults with kids 10 and under free into the grandstands.
