More Than a Dozen Drivers Net Feature Victories During First Half of Season at Jackson Motorplex

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 4, 2018) – Jackson Motorplex is dormant this weekend, which will at least keep one obnoxious competitor out of Victory Lane.

Mother Nature has won seven of the 14 scheduled races this season. A total of 14 top-notch competitors are giving chase to rise to the top of the track’s winner’s list as the 4/10-mile oval is halfway through the 2018 campaign.

A trio of drivers lead the way with two triumphs. Jason Johnson won the two AGCO Jackson Nationals preliminary nights in the Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Stores 410 winged sprint cars class. Jason Martin has garnered two Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids triumphs and Alex Schriever is a two-time winner in the NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc division.

Cory Eliason and AGCO Jackson Nationals champion Donny Schatz have 410 victories. Ryan Bickett, Jack Dover and Thomas Kennedy have each won a 360ci winged sprint car show. Brady Forbrook, Dusty Ballenger, Kaleb Johnson and Nate Eakin have joined Martin in Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids Victory Lane. Brandon Halverson and Clinton Bruns are also NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc winners.

Defending track champion Kaleb Johnson has used a division-leading four top-five finishes to build a six-point lead in the Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids championship standings. Shane Fick ranks second with Brandon Bosma and Elliot Amdahl tied for third – only nine points out of the lead.

Schriever’s two triumphs have given him a 19-point edge over Bruns in the NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc championship standings. Brandon Stevenson is third – 39 points behind Schriever.

As previously mentioned, there is no race at Jackson Motorplex this weekend. The next scheduled event is July 13 featuring the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints, Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Upper Midwest Sprint Car Series 360 sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc.
