Jackson Motorplex Forced to Postpone IMCA Frostbuster and Ben Nothdurft Memorial Until This Summer

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (April 27, 2018) – With more than 24 inches of snow accumulating a little more than a week ago, which further hindered the ability to get any track preparation done thus far this season, Jackson Motorplex officials are forced to postpone the IMCA Frostbuster and Ben Nothdurft Memorial.

The event was originally scheduled for April 28 and pushed back to May 5 because of the weather. Now the five IMCA classes will compete on Saturday, June 16, while the Tri-State Late Model Series will head to Jackson Motorplex on Wednesday, July 25, for the Ben Nothdurft Memorial. The race will be part of the 150th annual Jackson County Fair event.

Jackson Motorplex will now kick off its season on Friday, May 11, with the Great Lakes Shootout presented by Tweeter Contracting and Harvey’s Five Star Roofing featuring Outlaw Sprints Fueled by Casey’s General Stores, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc.

Hot laps are slated for 7:30 p.m. with racing to follow.

Jackson Motorplex officials are looking into hosting a test-and-tune session for all classes during the latter part of the week, but a decision will be made at a later time based on how the track preparation progresses.
