Jackson Motorplex Postpones IMCA Frostbuster and Ben Nothdurft Memorial to May 5

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (April 16, 2018) – Jackson Motorplex officials have postponed the IMCA Frostbuster and Ben Nothdurft Memorial one week because of all the recent snow accumulation as well as an impending snow storm later this week.

The marquee season-opening event during Bank Midwest Night presents the Double Down Showdown will be contested on Saturday, May 5.

IMCA a mods, IMCA sport mods, IMCA stock cars, IMCA hobby stocks, IMCA sport compacts and the Tri-State Late Model Series are on the card to compete with a unique opportunity for all IMCA divisions. The winner’s payout in the A Main will be doubled if 24 or more cars show up in a given class.

Without the bonus, IMCA a mods will race for $600 to win, IMCA stock cars and IMCA sport mods for $500 to win, IMCA hobby stocks for $300 to win and the IMCA sport compacts winner receives $100. Those figures will double if at least two dozen drivers compete.

Additionally, the Tri-State Late Model Series will battle in the inaugural Ben Nothdurft Memorial, which pays $3,000 to win with second place netting $2,000 and third place $1,500. WISSOTA late models are welcome and the main event will pay $250 to start.

The pits will open at 3 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m. with racing to follow.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students ages 13-years-old to 18-years-old. Children ages 12-years-old and younger get in free. Pit passes are $30 per person.

All IMCA classes will have a $10 draw fee.

There will be a test-n-tune session for all classes on Thursday, May 3, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pit passes are $20 per person and there is no fee for grandstand admission.
