SAPULPA, Okla. (September 7, 2017) While Mother Nature held things to a double race weekend rather than the planned trio, Blake Hahn still walked away with a pair of top-ten finishes in Lucas Oil ASCS National and ASCS Warrior Region competition.

“It wasn’t a bad weekend. We really felt like we had a lot better car than what the results show, but the biggest thing is just about every time we rolled onto the track, we moved forward,” commented Hahn.

Tenth at the Jackson Motorplex on Saturday night, Hahn wheeled the Griffith Truck and Equipment No. 52 from the 16th starting spot.

On the run at the Minnesota half-mile, Hahn stated, “Jackson is such a momentum track that if you miss a little, you lose a lot and it seemed like we’d get a pretty good run going, and something would happen and we’d have to make that ground up and with the way the line was narrowing up, it made things even harder.”

Making the nearly nine-hour drive to Lake Ozark Speedway to take on the Speedway Motors ASCS Warrior Region on Sunday, a field of 39 drivers were on hand with Hahn able to put his No. 52 in the A-Feature lineup through his Heat Race.

“The track was still a little narrow in the Heats, and the bottom was good, but we held on to second. In the feature, we were just off a little bit. The track was actually in great shape, just needed a little bit more, but racing against that field of cars, a ninth place finish from 14th is nothing to be mad about. There were very good drivers there. Just looking at the top-ten, everyone listed has either run with the National Tour or has the ability to.”

With the team getting ready for the Hockett/McMillin Memorial, the Pizza Express of Oklahoma No. 52 will race close to home this weekend with three ASCS Red River and Mid-South Regional races on the lineup. The plan is Friday at Flint Creek Speedway, Saturday at I-30 Speedway, and Sunday at Diamond Park Speedway. Hahn will also run his Midget Saturday with the POWRi West Series.
