Jackson Motorplex Hosts EMS Appreciation Night This Saturday

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (Aug. 15, 2016) – This Saturday is EMS Appreciation Night at Jackson Motorplex.

The event, which features Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks, Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts and After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA stock cars, will honor all Jackson County EMS personnel prior to racing along with having a vintage patrol car on display.

General admission is only $5 for everyone ages 13 years and older. Children ages 12 and younger are free.

The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.

All five classes competing feature a points battle of at least two drivers within 30 points.

Don Gerritsen Jr. holds a 28-point advantage in the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods standings over Chris Palsrok.

Jason Andrews owns a 30-point lead over Matthew Looft in the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods standings.

Seven-time feature winner Justin Luinenburg has a 17-point edge in the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks standings with Austin Jahnz ranked second.

Nate Coopman, who has won nine of 10 Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts features this season, is up by 16 points over Jay Devries in the standings.

The closest battle is in the After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA stock cars. Luke Sathoff has a two-point lead over Jim Larson with Levi Feltman only 21 points out of the lead and Gary Mattison 26 points behind Sathoff.

There is no racing on Friday night at Jackson Motorplex.
