Jackson Motorplex Showcasing Close Championship Battles Entering Doubleheader This Weekend

Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 11, 2016) – All of the Jackson Motorplex championship chases feature tight battles as the second half of the 2016 season gets underway this weekend.
The half-mile oval will showcase seven classes with the points leader holding less than a 20-point advantage on the closest competitor during the doubleheader, which begins on Friday with GDF Bobcat/KICD Radio Night presenting an all sprint car show.
Skylar Prochaska, who won his first Last-Deck® 360 Sprint Cars race of the season at the track last weekend, holds an 18-point advantage over Kaley Gharst as Jackson Motorplex will host double features for the class this Friday night for the third straight weekend.
The Liquid Nitro IMCA 305 Sprint Cars, which is led by Mike Stien with Kaleb Johnson only eight points back, and Heartland Racing Association non-wing sprints are also part of Friday’s event.
Tickets for Friday are $18 for adult general admission, $15 for seniors ages 65 and older, $10 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.
The pits are slated to open at 4:30 p.m. with the front gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Hot laps will begin around 7:30 p.m.

Saturday’s show includes the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods, Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods, Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks, Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts and After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA stock cars.
Don Gerritsen Jr. has a two-point advantage in the Wilmont Oil IMCA a mods championship standings over three-time feature winner Brandon Beckendorf.
Jim Larson and Luke Sathoff are tied atop the After Hours Graphics & Tees IMCA stock cars standings.
Matthew Looft holds an 11-point lead in the Bohl’s Small Engine & Marine IMCA sport mods standings over Jason Andrews.
Six-time feature winner Justin Luinenburg leads the Minnesota West – Jackson Campus IMCA hobby stocks standings by eight points over Austin Jahnz.
Meanwhile, Nate Coopman, who established a new track record by winning his seventh straight Boji Bay Water Park IMCA sport compacts feature last weekend, owns a nine-point lead over Jay Devries in the standings.
Tickets for Saturday’s program are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors ages 65 and older, $6 for students ages 13 to 18 and free for children ages 12 and younger. Pit passes are $30.
The pits will open at 4 p.m. with the main gates opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 7 p.m.
