Club 1320 Update
Club 1320 has reached 20% of the fundraising goal for the concrete wall and timing system. 10% of the membership goal has been attained, with many giving more than the minimum $100 to get your name on the wall.
This weekend crews of volunteers removed the existing guardrail at the NHRA track from the starting line to the finish line. Next weekend, weather permitting, the existing wood posts will be removed in preparations for the metal post framework to be installed.
We are looking for guardrail i-beams for the next phase of the project.
To contribute financially to the project, you can donate here: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_button_id=B67ALAEKKKLVN
If you'd like to donate in memory of someone, please list that in the name in the comments section.
Donations can also be sent to Alaska Raceway Park via Venmo.
Checks can also be sent to 5599 S. Race Way, Palmer, 99645.
About Club 1320:
Club 1320 is a crowdfunding group for capital improvements at the track. We're looking for 1320 people to sign up and donate the minimum amount of $100 to get your name or a name in memorial on the new concrete wall to be built at the Strip at Alaska Raceway Park, although all contributions are gratefully accepted. You don't want to miss out on being part of this historical event at ARP!
The wall and timing system project is scheduled for the '22 season. The poured concrete wall will replace the 1/4 mile double guardrail at the NHRA strip. The timing system will be upgraded to a new Portatree system at the same time, complete with LED scoreboards. This project will provide much needed safety and efficiency upgrades at the track.
Total investment for these two projects is estimated at $185,000 plus many hours of labor. Club 1320 will provide a large bulk of that investment. 100% of donations for Club 1320 will go to capital improvements at ARP.
