Rescheduled US Open Set for October 1
LANCASTER, NY (September 19, 2022) … Lancaster Motorplex ownership has rescheduled the previously canceled US Open on Saturday, October 1. If needed, a rain date is in place for Sunday, October 2.
The racing action will feature the 75-lap US Open for the Race of Champions Modified Series, Late Models, and the Frank Batista Sr 37 for the Street Stocks.
Management of Lancaster Motorplex and the Race of Champions Modified Series is working with Hoosier Racing Tire and Hoosier Tire Canada in efforts to secure tires, as tire shortages still exist throughout the racing industry.
The date became available following the cancelation of an IHRA-sanctioned event for the Lancaster Motorplex drag program.
Racing will begin at 1:00 pm, with grandstand gates and practice beginning at 11:30 am. Pit gates will swing open at 9:30 am. Admission prices will be released shortly via the Lancaster Motorplex social media pages.
