2nd Annual Race for Research To Benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital Features Kids Helping Kids
Here at MyRacePass we frequently field emails and calls from drivers, fans, and corporations presenting opportunities to participate in a multitude of events, and sometimes one comes along that just hits you in a "boy, did it get dusty in here" kind of way.
The Race for Research “To Benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital” event is one of those. Not only did they have us at "helping to raise money for childhood cancer treatment and research," but when we heard the full story about how last year's inaugural event raised over $100,000 and was organized by a teenage Micro Sprint driver, we were even more intrigued.
Simply put, Mickelina Monico is one impressive kid. Inspired by her father's own battle with cancer, Mickelina has created an event that was a massive success in its first year and has the potential to become a nationwide, multi-location fundraiser inspiring kids across the country to help kids with cancer...to help kids they do not even know. We knew we had to get involved and help spread the word about this remarkable event and the dedicated kids working to make it a continued success.

To Benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Race for Research “To Benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital” is a Celebrity Waiter Dinner featuring highly competitive Northern Ca. Micro Sprint drivers ages (6 to 60) and their teams. They will work together for one night in the spirit of giving back to their community, raising money for childhood cancer while building community awareness within the sport they love.
On Friday night, May 10th 2024, the drivers and teams will assemble at the Hilton Garden Inn in Fairfield Ca.
The event will begin with a cocktail hour and silent auction as drivers prepare in their fire suits to serve the guests a formal dinner and dessert.
After dinner there will be a live auction featuring an array of items donated to the nights event.
This event has limited seating and will sell out fast. Rooms at the Hilton event site will be offered to attendees of the event at a discount but are also limited.
This event will raise money for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
St. Jude leads the way in research and treatment for childhood cancer and shares their research findings with treatment centers all around the world. St. Jude parents NEVER receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food.

Make sure you follow the event on social media for updates during the winter months on auction items and news regarding the growing head count. We can’t stress it enough, this location can only hold 300 people and we want this group to get in first. Don’t wait!
