Smith, Curran, Knipmeyer shine at Sweet Springs

By Chris Hale (Sweet Springs, MO) -- With a heavy track and a huge cushion the fans were treated to another exciting night of racing at the Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex.

Cooper Smith chased Willie Urish and Quinn Jones for most of the Outlaw A main. While Urish and Jones traded sliders, Smith was sizing them up for a two car slide job with just a few laps to go. Smith went on to take the win with Jones second and Travis Rewerts sneaking by Urish for third.

In the Restrictor class Braden Knipmeyer continued to dominate by getting his 4th A main win in a row!
Xavier Doney got by Knipmeyer with a slide job in the final laps but Knipmeyer turned under him to take the win! Doney was second with Wyatt Siegel rounding out the podium.

In the A class Tyler Rennison, Garrett Hulsey and Dustin March had a spirited battle for the top spot. Rennison got the win with Hulsey close behind and March coming in third.

Tom Curran got his second Non Wing win of the season with Brian Lunsford and Jesse Pate following close behind.

Freddy Rowland got his first win of the season by beating a very hot Garrett Benson. Talin Turner was third.

Cordell Oklahoma driver Shawn Holt took home the Sportsman trophy with Daryl Perkins and Roger Newcomer rounding out the podium.
