Kilgore, TX (9/26/16) by DarinShort.com. This coming Saturday night, October 1st, racing fans are in for a real treat when the Milestone Electric Sprint Car Bandits® Series (SCB) returns to the LoneStar Speedway (LSS) 1/3 mile high-banks with their brand of high-speed 360C.I. racing excitement. Joining the SCB on Saturday, October 1st at LoneStar Speedway will be a complete program for the high-powered LSS Modifieds ($1,000/win), Factory Stocks ($300/win), Limited Modifieds ($500/win); plus FWD 4-Cylinders will round up the 5-division racing program. Rules and complete payback by division are posted at the LSS website under 'resources.'

The long-range forecast shows dry conditions all day Saturday, October 1st with race time (7pm) temps in the upper 70's (not a typo!)...making for spectacular racing conditions.

NOTE that LSS 'Summer Hours' are over. Pit gates open Saturday October 1st at 3pm, with the main grandstand entrance opening by 5:30pm. Draw cut-off for all divisions is at 6:15pm, Drivers meeting at 6:45pm with hot laps and racing immediately following. The sun goes down by 7pm on this date, so it will make for excellent racing conditions.

An excellent Sprint Car purse is slated, paying $2,000 to win and paying down to $300 to start. The SCB feature is currently scheduled to be the second feature race out. All area Sprint Cars are invited to compete in this event as long as they are SCB legal (go to www.SprintCarBandits.com for rules, and if you have questions, contact Steve Lang directly at: SteveLang14@gmail.com or by calling 469-474-8234. The SCB has added $1,000 in cash to the Series base purse structure - at no added cost to the racers, fans, or the track. Here is the complete SCB payback for LoneStar Speedway A-feature, 25 laps: $2,000 - $1,000 - $600 - $500 - $400 (5th) - $380 - $370 - $360 - $350 - $340 (10th) - $330 - $320 - $310 - $300...to start. Any non-qualifier or non-starter will receive $100. All pit passes are $30.

Race fans can expect a full field of young and veteran SCB race teams, such as: Michael Lang, Junior Jenkins, Dustin Gates, Colton Goodwin, Justin Melton, Claud Estes III, Larry Howery, Charlie McDonald, Ryan Hall, Brandie Jass, Brad Welborn, Robert Vetter, Michelle Melton, Brad Queen, Bruce Griffith, Chance McCrary, Gary Floyd, Raven Culp, Justin Fifield, Blake Baccus, Zane Lawrence, Channin Tankersley, Dale Wester, Johnny Miller, Brandon Long - and more!

There are no registration or entry fees in any of the five racing divisions on October 1st.

All Sprint Cars signing in will draw for heat race starting position and will race for passing points. The A-feature will be lined straight up by heat race passing points (no redraw).

SCB series promoter Steve Lang comments: "We had lost some events to rain this season, so we're taking our sponsor dollars and applying them to our final event, as we did at every SCB event this season. Our series really doesn't have much overhead, so we can truly make effective use of the sponsor funds that we've received...and there's no better use of those funds than to pass them along in the form of increased competitor purses."

Lang continues: "Plus, Darin Short is adding to that by providing his 'Free Pass to the Feature' award; which is really unique, simple and exciting."

Here's how the DarinShort.com Free Pass to the Feature works:

-Any SCB driver that finishes outside of a transfer spot to the A-feature (after the B-feature) will have their names thrown in a hat, and the drivers name that gets pulled out will forgo their "$100 Non-qualifier status" and become the 21st starter in the feature race - and in this case - it pays $300 to start!

-Eligible drivers must finish the B-feature to be considered for drawing. (In other words, let's say 9 cars finish the B-feature, and the first 4 transfer to the A. That means those 5 drivers are normally done for the night. However, with this award, drivers finishing in 5th through 9th in the B-feature will be eligible drivers for the DarinShort.com Free Pass to the Feature award.)

For those of you that are still unfamiliar with the Sprint Car Bandits series, they are dedicated to help bringing back some of the old-time fun of sprint car racing, yet incorporating some much-needed basic adjustments that help the teams stay on track with their budget - and fans not having to pay excessively high ticket prices to enjoy watching them. Race fans can expect a great mix of young and veteran drivers competing with the Sprint Car Bandits.

The SCB series has a unique rules package that allows teams to use their current equipment (especially in the engine compartment), yet curbing nightly tire expense...which helps equalize the competition, with teams of varying budget sizes.

Between the lower operating cost of the SCB series and the addition of sponsor funds into nightly purses, it is allowing more area race tracks to book events - which all translates into DFW area fans getting to see quality, high-speed sprint car race at a lower grandstand ticket price.

When you combine those components with lower nightly competitor operating purses, it all equals one thing: the new Sprint Car Bandits series!

The SCB would like to thank the sponsors of the Sprint Car Bandits series: Milestone Electric, B-Tactical, AlphaGraphics, Rodd Hanna's Air Performance, A&M Glass Service, MalloryPrint.com and Palm Harbor Homes - and with each SCB sponsor announcement, the series can continue to implement one of its primary missions, and that is adding to the already excellent competitor purses.

If your business is interested in getting involved with the SCB series, please contact Steve Lang directly at: SteveLang14@gmail.com or by calling 469-474-8234. There are effective programs available for all sizes of budgets.

Click www.SprintCarBandits.com for the latest in series news - including the new event flyer for LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, October 1st. You can also reach the SCB on Facebook, at www.Facebook.com/SprintCarBandits and on Twitter by searching 'Sprint Car Bandits'.

As this season ending event is upon us for the SCB, we would like to thank the drivers, fans, area racetracks and sponsors for their support of this new series. We're looking forward to having another great night of racing when the Sprint Car Bandits series takes on the high banks of LoneStar Speedway on Saturday, October 1st with the Series Championship!

As the season is winding down at LoneStar Speedway, there are three points nights remaining and several great points battles going on in the top-10 in all divisions. Reminder that LSS drivers finishing in the top-10 in points must have participated in at least 75% of the completed points events to be eligible for post-season awards. (November 26th is not a points event.)

Here's where the LSS points sit going into the October 1st event:
