LONESTAR SPICES UP SEPT. 3 for RACE FANS with $10 FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT!
Kilgore TX (8/25/16) by DarinShort.com. In many parts of the country, 2016 has been a really rough weather year, plus lots of rainouts at tracks; but at LoneStar Speedway (LSS), we're going to break free from that trend and host a FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT - with all ages from 12 to 112 being admitted for just $10! Tickets were priced at $15, so that's a savings of $5 each! Kids tickets are $5 for ages 6-11. Seniors/Military will receive the $10 pricing as well.
This special FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT will take place on Labor Day weekend, Saturday September 3rd with a TWMA vs. A-L-T Winged Modified Shootout, plus a complete LSS points event for all divisions. The night will pay $1,000 to win in the high powered LoneStar Modifieds, $500 to win for the Limited Modifieds, plus $300 to win in the Factory Stocks. The new FWD 4-Cylinders will round out the 5-division racing program. The event will be held at LoneStar Speedway (LSS), located near Kilgore TX, right off of I-20 and Exit 583 (then 1/2 mile north and 1 mile east).
Race fans can take in FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT for just $10 adult general grandstand admission (ages 12 through 112). Kids ages 6-11 are $5. All pit passes for all ages remain at $30.
LSS makes a perfect 'battle ground' for the Texas Winged Modified Association vs. Ark-La-Tex Winged Modified Shootout. We're looking forward to seeing the two groups spar on the LSS high-banks for 'Round 2'. Complete purse breakdown and rules are posted at their respective series websites (located near the bottom of this press release).
Fans can expect a great matchup of Winged Modified drivers such as Steve Adrian, Eddie Grmela, Scott Trowell, Kodey Keimig, Rex Adrian, David Suggs, Korey Keim, Kadale Kolar, Dale Wester, David Flanagan, Terry Trowell, Mike Marusak, Teddy White, Charlie Davidson, Terry White, David Clements, Alan Myers, Callie Lee, David Williams, Ron Golden and Tommy Hall...plus some 'invaders' are never out of the question.
No mufflers are required in any LSS division (unless your sanctioning body requires them).
Reminder, we will host the Sprint Car Bandits Series Season Championship event on Saturday, October 1st. Event details will be forthcoming within a couple of weeks. All LoneStar divisions will also race in this points event (as previously scheduled). Those of you who attended the first Sprint Car Bandits event at LoneStar on June 25th were treated to a wild 'slide-by-slide' feature race with a very dramatic conclusion. Click https://www.youtube.com/user/DarinShortcom/videos for a refresher of the racing action from that night.
A complete event flyer, division rules and payback by division for the Saturday September 3rd event is posted at www.LoneStarSpeedway.com under the ‘news’ section.
