SAT. 6/11 8pm: LSS 7th Anniv. SPECTACULAR!

It was not that long ago that LoneStar Speedway (LSS) sat dormant for several years when Lisa and Sam Hafertepe decided to purchase the facility and resurrect it, into what is now one of the premier speedplant's in the region. And now it's time to celebrate with the 7th Anniversary LoneStar Speedway Spectacular! The event will take place Saturday June 11th at 8pm.

There will be lots of added prize drawings for the fans in the grandstands, plus there are bumped up purses in all the LSS points divisions; plus it's the only time in 2016 you can catch the Southern Topless Modified Tour (STEM) at LSS!

The high powered LSS Modifieds will pay $1,200/win and $120/start, while the Limited Modified winner will take home $600 and it pays down to $60/start, the first Factory Stock driver to cross the checkers will receive $400 in their feature that pays down to $40/start. Complete purse structure in all divisions is posted at the track website under 'resources' (as it is at every LSS event). The new Front Wheel Drive 4-Cylinders will round out the 5-division racing card.

Keeping up with LoneStar's goal to offer quality racing, great competitor purses - while still at family-affordable pricing - Adult (ages 12-64) tickets to the LSS 7th Anniversary Spectacular are just $12! Ages 6-11 are $5, and ages 65+/Active Military can take in the full night of racing for just $10. All pit passes for all ages are being held at $30.

Note that this is our first 'Summer Hours' event. Hot laps Saturday June 11th fire off at 7:30pm, with the Pits opening by 4pm and the Grandstands by 6pm. LSS Draw Cut-Off at 7pm with the LSS drivers Pit Meeting at 7:15pm. Drivers, please make sure to arrive on time so we can keep the show moving on schedule.

Driver registration for the LSS points divisions is required, and the $30 registration fee goes right back into the Drivers Point Fund - which has averaged over $10,000/year the past three years. STEMS cars do not register.

Here are some quick facts for the SATURDAY JUNE 11th LoneStar LSS 7th ANNIVERSARY SPECTACULAR event:

• Pits open by 4pm, Grandstands open by 6pm, Hot Laps at 7:30pm, with Racing to follow immediately. The LSS draw-in closes at 7pm sharp

-Adult General Admission $12 (ages 12-64; tickets available at the gate on race day only.)

-Kids (ages 6-11) just $5

-Ages 5 and under admitted free with Adult admission

-Active Military (with I.D.) or Senior’s (Ages 65+) General Admission $10

-Upgrade any ticket to the Reserved Section (bucket seats) for $5 per person

-All Pit Passes for all ages are $30

-No outside food/drink coolers are allowed inside, a full selection of economically priced food concessions, including beer, are available.
