Fifth-place finish with World of Outlaws at Cherokee Speedway

Cla Knight was one of 40 World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series entries on hand at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon for the event co-sanctioned with the Drydene Xtreme DIRTcar Series. Following a fifth-place finish in his heat, Knight secured his spot into A-Main with a second-place finish in his B-Main. On Saturday evening for the second round of the Rock Gault Memorial, Cla laid down the fifth-fastest lap in his group before placing second in his heat race. Rolling off fifth for the $20,000-to-win finale, Knight carried a steady pace throughout the 60-lap affair to register a fifth-place finish. He trailed Max Blair, Ross Bailes, Daulton Wilson, and Hudson O’Neal to the checkers.
