Mechanical issues arise with World of Outlaws at Gaffney

With Mother Nature washing out his initial weekend plans, Payton Freeman trekked to Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Friday afternoon to compete with the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series for the two-day Rock Gault Memorial. After laying down the 11th-fastest time in his qualifying group, Freeman experienced issues with his water pump in his heat race that led to more damage underneath the hood of his Freeman Plumbing No. F1 Late Model.
