NOW600 Desert Region Renews Sanctioning in 2018
DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (January 22, 2018) - After a year hiatus the Desert Region of the National Open Wheel 600 Series has renewed their sanctioning for the 2018 season.
The NOW600 Desert Region sanctions stock 600cc micro sprint racing in New Mexico and Southern Colorado.
"We are very excited to regain the Desert Region back in 2018." commented NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox. "Bobby Huish and his team took a year off after the controversy over Outlaw and A-Class, but with the dwindling of the Outlaw class and to save micro sprint racing as a whole, the NOW600 Desert Region will once again reform this upcoming season."
11 dates currently make up the NOW600 Desert Region schedule. All of which will be held at Kart Kanyon Speedway in Aztec, New Mexico. Other venues and dates are currently in the works.
Action will kick off on May 12 with a Test N Tune date with Racing kicking off on June 9. The season will wrap up on October 27 with the Pumpkin Race.
July 6 and 7 will be the Klash at Kart Kanyon paying $500 to win and $50 to start (National Series Purse).
