Burke Building Confidence as Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Team Builds Experience

Inside Line Promotions – ALVIN, Texas (June 29, 2021) – Confidence is brimming for Trey Burke as he heads to Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this week.

The Joe Dooling Autosports driver invades the road course in Lexington, Ohio, for the next three rounds of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship. It will mark his first time at the track.

“We have Sage Karam back as a driver coach and I think it will be huge,” Burke said. “A big part of a driver and a team is the chemistry. You can have the best driver and the best team, but if they don’t work well together they won’t make a lot of progress. Everyone on the team works well together. We’ll only get better as time progresses. We’re still climbing the ladder and we’re making really good progress.

“We’ve been chasing everything all year and I think that now that we have what we’ve been chasing we can start to put it together. Once we start clicking then the expectations can change and go from top 15s to top 10s. That comes with experience.”

Burke is coming off a pair of career-best 17th-place finishes with the series.

“I do have a lot of confidence in myself and the team,” he said. “I’ve heard Mid-Ohio is hard. Having the years of knowledge that we do on our team will help us.”

Qualifying on the 2.258-mile, 13-turn track is Friday afternoon followed by a race that day, one on Saturday and the weekend finale on Sunday.
