Iron-Man Racing Series at Atomic Speedway Succumbs to Inclement Weather for Saturday June 24: Postponed until July 22

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (June 23, 2023)- Officials with Atomic Speedway, the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series, and the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series have announced the postponement of the Atomic 100 event scheduled for Atomic Speedway on Saturday June 24.

With rains that have fallen throughout the week and with a forecast giving an extremely high percentage of rain throughout the day on Friday, along with additional rain forecasted at times on Saturday, the track and grounds would not have sufficient time for drying out, thus, the tough decision was made to postpone the event. The makeup date will be Saturday July 22 for the Late Model & Modified Series.

The next events for the Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series will be Friday July 7 at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, OH paying $5,000 to win and Saturday July 8 at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, OH paying $10,000 to win. The next event for the Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified (UMP) Northern Series will be Saturday July 22 at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH paying $1,500 to win. The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series resumes action on Monday July 3 at Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, TN with the 3rd Annual Lil’ Bill Corum Memorial paying $21,000 to win.
