McCarter drove the Jim Beeman Motorsports No. 71 Beeman Lumber/ Seubert Calf Ranches/ Mastersbilt House Car powered by a Jay Dickens Racing Engine to a $5,000 victory in the 11th Annual “Hangover.”

“It was demanding tonight definitely demanding,” said McCarter. “To Cory (Hedgecock) and Dustin (Linville) man they had good cars. They had really good cars … just had bad trouble. Luckily we held it out. Man I can’t thank Jim (Beeman) and Tader (Masters) enough.”

Getting an early start to their 2021 season, both Pierce and Mack McCarter made the short trip to 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, Tenn. on Saturday afternoon.

Pierce came in second fastest in his time trial group to lock into the fourth starting spot for the 50-lap main event.

McCarter tracked down polesitter Cory Hedgecock early as a caution on lap 14 realigned the field. Sneaking past Hedgecock on the ensuing restart to take command of the top spot, Pierce held off the talent-laden field over the remaining 36 circuits to capture his first win of the season and a $5,000 prize. He finished ahead of Christian Hanger, Tommy Bailey, Drake Troutman, and Jimmy Sharpe Jr.

In the 604 Late Model ranks, Mack locked his spot into the $2,000-to-win A-Main with the fourth fastest lap in a field of 29 cars. With only four cars completing all 30-laps of the feature, McCarter was an early retiree on lap 10.
