Southwest Region returns to Arizona Speedway
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (October 1, 2013) The first weekend of October is forecasted to be a warm one for the Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region as the series lights up at the Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz on Saturday, October 5.
Located roughly 40 minutes from the center of Phoenix, the three-eighths mile desert oval has hosted the Southwest Region twice already in 2013, first on March 30 where Logan Forler took the weekend prize and again in July 6, the site of first, in a now three race long streak of wins.
Ziehl’s five victories on the season have placed the Las Cruces, N.M. native in proper position to claim another southwest title. Joshua Williams trails by 252 with Billy Chester, Kaylene Verville, and Lance Norick making the top five in regional standings.
The Hose Advantage Store Southwest Region will be joined Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and Bombers. Races are scheduled to begin at 7:00 P.M. with gates opening at 5:00 P.M. (MT) Admission is only $15 for adults with discounts for Seniors and kids. For more information on the Arizona Speedway, log onto http://www.arizonaspeedway.net.
