Holcombe Double Dips at The World Short Track Championship

Austin Holcombe traveled to The Dirt Track at Charlotte (Concord, N.C.) over the weekend for the 2022 edition of the World Short Track Championship. The North Carolina traveler competed in both the DIRTcar UMP Modified ranks and the Crate Modified division.

With 54 Crate Modifieds in action Austin advanced from eighth-to-third in his heat race to earn the 17th-starting spot for the finale. He would go on to race to a fourth-place finish.

Meanwhile, against a stacked field of 36 DIRTcar UMP Modifieds, Austin qualified third fastest in his group and backed it up with a second-place finish in his heat race.

Lining up seventh on the starting grid for the finale, Holcombe raced past 13 competitors to finish fourth.
