Exciting changes coming to 4-17 Southern Speedway

The Management of 4-17 Southern Speedway & Events is excited to announce changes coming to the venue for the second half of the 2019 race season.

4-17 SSE management and crew members have been working hard over the summer break to continue to ensure a clean, safe, and pleasing venue for drivers & fans.

In an effort to streamline parking, management has created a new flow of traffic and parking. Please be sure to watch for signage and parking attendants on days of events. Additionally- please be aware of the increased handicap parking area. If your your vehicle does not properly identify the "Handicap" symbol - your vehicle will be towed if you have parked in the handicap section.

The biggest and most important changes coming pertain to venue entry times and procedures. The following changes will be in effect starting Saturday, August 31, 2019:
~Pit Gates will now open at 2:00 pm (no teams, individuals, or race rigs
will be admitted past the pit gate prior to 2:00 pm)

~General Admission gates will now open at 5:00 pm.

~There is now a strict NO RE-ENTRY policy at all gates. Should you
choose to leave the venue gates for any reason - you will be required to
pay to re-enter. No exceptions will be made For your convenience -
please be sure you have your chairs, jackets, blankets, wallet, medication,
diapers, eye glasses, cell phone, motor, drive shaft, etc when you
approach the gate (This applies to Pit and GA gates)

~No outside food or beverages will be allowed inside the General Admission
entrance. All bags, personal items, chairs, baby wipe containers, diaper
bags, boots, etc will be searched. We have menu items available to meet
nearly all dietetic needs. You are allowed to bring your own insulated cup
or koozie - but it must be empty when entering the venue

~Pit entrance will require that all individuals exit the vehicle, camper, rig, etc
to have arm band applied. No exceptions

While some of these changes will be a little difficult to get used to, Management believes they will provide for a more streamlined and enjoyable experience for all. Some of the changes have been implemented due to new insurance regulations or mandates. Additionally and most importantly ~ your safety is being placed above convenience.

Some additional events have been added to the remainder of the schedule, and even more may be added soon. Please like us on Facebook to receive instant notifications.

From the Management and staff - Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to seeing each of you August 31st!!
