Bobby Carrier, Sr. Tribute at Ponderosa Speedway Postponed Due to Weather Forecast; Makeup date TBA

SOMERSET, KENTUCKY (April 21, 2023)- Officials with Ponderosa Speedway and the Valvoline Iron-Man Racing Series Late Model Northern and Southern Series have announced the postponement of the Bobby Carrier, Sr. Tribute that scheduled for Friday April 21.

With a forecast calling for rain moving into the Ponderosa Speedway area around race time on Friday, both Ponderosa Speedway and Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Series felt it would be in the best interest of the racers and fans to postpone the event and the date will be announced soon.

The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Southern Series will now open the 2023 campaign on Saturday April 29 at Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Fort Payne, AL for the Marvin Ford Classic paying $10.038 to win and $500 to start (biggest event in the track’s history). The Valvoline Iron-Man Late Model Northern Series will now open its 2023 season on Saturday May 13 at Atomic Speedway in Waverly, OH paying $7,500 to win and $500 to start. The Brucebilt Performance Parts Iron-Man Open Wheel Modified Northern Series will also kick off their season at Atomic Speedway on Saturday May 13 racing for $1,500 to win.
