Ed Laboon Memorial Moves to June 10th
Due to various scheduling conflicts on June 3rd, the 12th Annual Ed Laboon Memorial featuring the Penn Ohio Pro Stocks will now be held one week later, on Saturday, June 10th. The longest running, most prestigious Pro Stock race in the region will again be a must see event at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.
"In reviewing the schedule, I noticed several tracks were running Pro Stocks on June 3rd." stated race promotor Vince Laboon. "This gives us a great opportunity to run unopposed in the region and also give local dirt racing fans a premier event to attend. I am also sensitive to Pro Stock teams wanting to maintain points at their local track. After I spoke to the Miley family, this seemed like a win-win."
Joining the Penn Ohio Pro Stocks on the card for Saturday, June 10th will be our Action Event divisions. The Rohrich Automotive RUSH Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Crawford Auto Repair Open Four Cylinders, and All Ways Safe Flagging and Traffic Control Young Guns. PLUS visits from the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds and the RUSH Sprint Cars. June 3rd will remain a scheduled racing event featuring an Action Event.
Stay tuned for further updates on the Ed Laboon Memorial, which is expected to pay at least $3,017 to win, $300 to start, with no entry fees.
