Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway
Barbara and Schneider win the twin 20's at PPMS
Imperial, PA
It was a cool fall night at PPMS for the final points race of the season. PPMS would see qualifying, seven heat races, a six-lap dash, and seven features. Keith Barbara (93X) from Pittsburgh would pick up the win in the first Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model dirt series as he was subbing for Justin Lamb. In the second feature, Christian Schneider (1ST) from Pittsburgh would pick up his first career win in the RUSH Late Model division. Chas Wolbert (C3) from Howland, Ohio made it two wins in a row in the RUSH Sportsman Modified division, while Greg Beach (33X) picked up win number seven on the season in the PPMS Pro Stock division. Zackery Stehle (00) took the win in Open Motor Hobby Stock division and Dave Sheriff (8) from Imperial picked up his second win of the season in the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock division. Andy Garlinger (R88) from Hopedale, Ohio continued to dominate the Open Four Cylinder class, picking up another win and Susie Rudolph (55) from Steubenville, Ohio took the win in the Three Rivers Karting Young Guns division.
In the first Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Dirt Series 20-lap feature, Scott Gunn (14G) from McDonald would start on the pole after winning the six-lap dash. To his outside was Barbara (93X). Daryl Charlier (12C) from Midway would start in third, while Jim Zarin (1Z) from Moon would start in fourth, and Ben Policz (14B) from Rices Landing would start in fifth. When the green flag dropped, Gunn (14G) would retain the lead with Barbara (93X) right behind him. Lap three would see the first caution flag for the 10 of Zachary Kane from Washington. Gunn (14G) would lead the field on the restart with Barbara (93X) right beside him once again. Barbara (93X) would take the lead on lap four but at the same time another caution came out. Barbara (93X) would lead the restart with Gunn (14G) in second, and Charlier (12C) in third. Charlier (12C) would steal the second spot from Gunn (14G) on lap six and at the halfway point Barbara (93X) was still in the lead. Barbara (93X) would begin to make his way through lapped traffic on lap 13 and then the field saw another caution on lap 14 for the 42 of Matt Dobnak, who spun out low in turn four. Barbara (93X) would choose the inside on the restart with Charlier (12C) in second, Gunn (14G) in third, Tommy Schirnhofer from Dormont (8S) in fourth, and Ron Hall (01) from Hookstown in fifth. When the field returned to green flag action, Barbara (93X) would retain the lead but would briefly give it up to Schirnhofer (8S) before taking the lead back on the next lap. Lap 18 saw another caution when Chuck Medved (2M) and Dobnak (42) would spin out entering turn one. Barbara (93X) would lead the field on the restart and lead the remaining two laps, picking up his first PPMS win of the season. He was followed to the line by Hall (01) in second, Schirnhofer (8S) in third, Charlier (12C) in fourth, Gunn (14G) in fifth, Zarin (1Z) in sixth, Russ Matejka (17M) in seventh, Policz (14B) in eighth, Schneider (1ST) in ninth, and Jared Kane (7K) would complete the top 10. Heat race winners were Charlier (12C), Gunn (14G) and Policz (14B).
In the second Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Dirt Series 20-lap feature, Bryan Hoffman (15H) from Imperial would start on the pole. To his outside was Colby Beighey (36B) from Fombell. Starting in third was Jared Kane (7K) and starting in fourth was Schneider (1ST). When the green flag waved, Beighey (36B) would take the lead on lap two and then the field would see the first caution flag of the event on the same lap for debris in turn one. Beighey (36B) would lead the field on the restart and, despite an awesome start by Schneider (1ST), Beighey (36B) was able to hold on to the lead. Beighey (36B) was still leading at the halfway point but would crash in lapped-traffic on lap 12, bringing out the yellow flag. With Beighey (36B) now out of the event, Schneider (1ST) would lead the field on the restart and Barbara (93X) was now up to second place after starting twelfth. Schneider (1ST) would lead the remaining nine laps of the event, picking up his first win of the season. Following him to the line was Barbara (93X) in second, Charlier (12C) in third, Gunn (14G) in fourth, Policz (14B) in fifth, Dobnak (42) in sixth, Matejka (17M) in seventh, Josh Stoica (22J) in eighth, J. Kane (7K) in ninth, and Zach Gunn (114G) rounded out the top 10.

Joshua Alan Deems (9D) from Volant would start in third, and Rocky Kugel (83) from East Liverpool, Ohio would start in fourth. When the green flag dropped, Wolbert (C3) would take over the lead on the first lap. Wolbert (C3) was still leading at the halfway point and, by lap 12, Wolbert (C3) had a whole straightaway lead over the field. Wolbert (C3) began to pick his way through lapped traffic on lap 14. Wolbert (C3) would lead the remaining 11 laps, picking up his second win in a row at PPMS and clinching the track points Championship. He was followed to the line by Holden (2) in second, Deems (9D) in third, Tony Tatgenhorst (63T) in fourth, Garrett Krummert (10S) in fifth, Kugel (83) in sixth, Jeremy Weaver (35W) in seventh, Steve Slater (29) in eighth, Rob Kristyak (00) in ninth, and Jessica Kriegisch (63) completed the top 10. Heat race winners were Wolbert (C3) and Tatgenhorst (63T).
In the PPMS Pro Stock class, Greg Beach (33X) from Chicora would start on the pole. To his outside was Ryan Moyer (13X) from Portersville. Bill Robertson (1B) from Upper Saint Clair would start in third, and Eric Piotrowski (7) from Evans City would start in fourth. When the green flag dropped, Beach (33X) would retain an early lead with Moyer (13X) in tow. Lap six had Beach (33X) still leading, Moyer (13X) still in second, and Robertson (1B) still in third. On lap seven, Robertson’s (1B) car began to smoke and he was forced to enter the pits on lap nine. Beach (33X) would lead all 15 laps, picking up his seventh PPMS win of the season and clinching the Pro Stock Points Championship. He was followed to the line by Moyer (13X) in second, Dave McManus (114) in third, Corey McPherson (C33) in fourth, Danny Rich (67X) in fifth, Wayne Carbo (54) in sixth, Joel Johns (M5) in seventh, Bob Egley (30) in eighth, Heath Close (77) in ninth, and Nick Kocuba (10) rounded out the top 10. Heat race winners were McPherson (C33) and McManus (114).
In the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock 12-lap feature, Zackery Stehle (00) would start on the pole. To his outside was Andrew Sutton (16A). Making up the second row was Casey Grumling (77XX) from Elrama in third and Ben Anton (13) from Jefferson Hills in fourth. When the green flag waved, Stehle (00) would retain an early lead for the Open Motor Hobby Stocks, while Sutton (16A) had the lead for the legal Hobby Stocks. The yellow flag came out on lap seven for a car that spun on the backstretch. Stehle (00) would lead the field on the restart and would lead the remaining five laps of the event, picking up his first PPMS win of the season for the Open Motor Hobby Stocks. Sheriff (8) picked up the win in the regular Hobby Stock division. Following Stehle (00) to the line was Sheriff (8) in second, Randy DeBerardinis (77X) in third, John Hollister (8) in fourth, Sutton (16A) in fifth, Anton (13) in sixth, Marcus Simmons (68X) in seventh, Grumling (77XX) in eighth, Stephen Shelpman (17S) in ninth, and Frank Fazio (1ST) rounded out the top 10. Karlee Longwell (14K) would start in third and Garlinger (R88) would complete the four-car field. When the green flag dropped, Garlinger (R88) had the lead by the end of the first lap with Knight (71) in tow. By lap four, Garlinger (R88) had a whole straightaway lead over the field. Garlinger (R88) was on a rail and would lead all laps of the race, picking up another PPMS victory. Following him to the line was Knight (71) in second, Gill (19G) in third, and Longwell (14K) in fourth. The Open Four Cylinders did not run a heat race.
In the Three Rivers Karting Young Guns feature, Kyle Janus (88) from Coraopolis would start on the pole. To his outside was Frank Magill (05) from Jefferson Hills. Tony Magill (44) from Jefferson Hills would start in third, Rudolph (55) would start in fourth, and Dillion Kineston (187) would complete the five-car field. When the green flag dropped, Rudolph (55) would have the lead by turn one, but F. Magill (05) would take over the lead by the end of the first lap. Lap two saw the yellow flag for debris on the track. F Magill (05) would lead the field on the restart but when the field returned to green flag action, Rudolph (55) would take over the lead. The yellow came out again on lap six for Rudolph (55) who spun out. Track officials determined that F. Magill (05) made contact with Rudolph (55), causing her to spin out. The Young Guns division is a no-contact division and track officials made F. Magill (05) go the pits for making contact with Rudolph (55). She would lead the field on the restart and lead the remaining four laps of the event, picking up another PPMS victory. Following her to the line was Janus (88) in second, T. Magill (44) in third, Kineston (187) in fourth, and F. Magill (05) in fifth.
