Twin 20-lap features for the Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Dirt Series & Modisaures X for the RUSH Sportsman Modifieds up next at PPMS
Imperial, PA
Join us at PPMS this Saturday, September 29, 2018, for Modisaures X with the RUSH Sportsman Modified Dirt Series and a Diehl Auto Summer Sizzler for the Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Dirt Series, paying $700 to win for each feature. The Summer Sizzler twin 20-lap features are a makeup from earlier in the season. PPMS will also be featuring the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stocks combined with Open Motor Hobby Stocks, with two winners, the PPMS Pro Stocks, the Three Rivers Karting Young Guns, and the Open Four Cylinders with street legal tires only. The Hobby Stocks, Young Guns, and Open Four Cylinders will run features only. Gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps begin at 6 p.m., and the racing action begins at 7 p.m.
With the points Championship on Saturday at PPMS, how does double features sound to end the season? Well, that’s just what's in store for the Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Models. The Diehl Summer Sizzler was originally scheduled back in August, but Mother Nature had other ideas. Justin Lamb (93X) from Findlay Township has been in the points lead most of the season and currently has 1304 points. Lamb (93X) has continued to put up top three, and top-five finishes, with one feature win on the season. Logan Zarin (1Z) from Moon is in second place with 1196 PPMS points and John Mollick (60M) from Toronto, Ohio is in third place, while Christian Schneider (1ST) from Pittsburgh is on fourth with 1130 points, and Josh Stoica (22J) is in fifth place with 1032 points. Will Lamb (93X) win his second Diehl Automotive RUSH Late Model Track Championship at PPMS? Join us on Saturday to find out.
The other highlight of the evening is Modisaures X for the RUSH Sportsman Modified. The RUSH Sportsman Modified Dirt Series is a well-respected series that travels very well, and they are great supporters of PPMS. The RUSH Sportsman Modifieds will run a 25-lap feature event. The points race is closer than Chas Wolbert (C3) would like. The Howland, Ohio Native is in first place with 637 points. Last year’s Champion Kole Holden (2) from Tiona is in second place with 617 points. Chelsie Kriegisch is in third place with 613 points, while Tony Tatgenhorst (63T) is in fourth place with 610 points, and Steve Slater (29) is in fifth place with (564) points.
The Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock class has had it’s fair shares of ups and downs this season at PPMS but Stephen Shelpman (17S) from Pleasant Hills has the lead in points coming into Saturday with 1139 points. Casey Grumling (77X) from Elrama is right behind Shelpman (17S) with 1113 points. Former Young Guns Champion Ben Anton (13) from Jefferson Hills is in third place with 1062 points. With some of the best action PPMS has to offer, the Keystone Coach Works Hobby Stock feature should be quite the battle on Saturday.
Greg Beach (33X) from Chicora has dominated the PPMS Pro Stock class and has earned his first place spot in the points race. Beach (33X) has six feature wins on the season and has 1148 points. Dave McManus (114) from Elizabeth is in second place with 1077 points. McManus (114) has two feature wins on the season. A.J. Poljak from Baldwin is in third with 992 points, while Bill Robertson (1B) is in fourth with 871 points, and Gary Koteles (64K) is in fifth with 792 points.
In the Three Rivers Karting Young Guns division Susie Rudolph (55) from Steubenville, OH has six feature wins on the season, the most out of any Young Guns driver. Rudolph (55) isn’t in first place in the points race though. Frank Magill (05) from Jefferson Hills is the points leader with (1112) points. F. Magill (05) has had solid finishes and a few feature wins. Kyle Janus (88) from Coraopolis is in second place with 1074 points, and Rudolph (55) is in third place with (936) points. Tony Magill from Jefferson Hills is in fourth place with 607 points.
Other notables include Sye Lynch (2L)/42) from Apollo has won the Outlaw 410 Sprint Car Championship at PPMS and Andy Garlinger (R88) has clinched the Track Championship in the Open Four Cylinder class. Lamb (93X) is in second place in Summer Sizzler Points with 189 points and Ben Policz (14B) from Rices Landing is in first place in Summer Sizzler points with 189 points.
