PPMS Saturday Event Delayed By Weather, Reset For Monday
The Saturday night racing program at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway was postponed due to weather. It has been rescheduled for Monday, July 24. Tony Stewart’s Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions will be in competition. Stewart is the owner and operator of the All Star Tour, and had announced that he was planning on competing in Saturday’s event. With the Falconi’s Moon Township Automotive event rescheduled to Monday, Stewart is planning on competing on the rescheduled date, as confirmed by the All Star release at the following link. http://www.allstarsprint.com/news/?i=51148&clk=featureNews
The PPMS event is a part of a western Pennsylvania weekend where the group raced at Eriez Speedway on Friday night and will race at Tri-City Raceway Park on Sunday. The feature winner will earn $5,000. Cole Duncan won the Friday night Eriez event over 38 entries.
Also in competition on Monday will be a Sizzler Series event and weekly point racing for the Precise Racing Products RUSH Late Models. The RUSH Modifieds will be also be returning.
A full racing card returns to the speedway on Saturday, July 29. An “Action Event” will take place, featuring a Sizzler Series race for the Precise Racing Products RUSH Late Models, as the Diehl Automotive Super Late Models will also be in competition. Joining the July 29 program will be the Sunoco Sportsman, Super6 Late Models, Miley Truck Rental Hobby Stocks, Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns, and CruiseAmerica Open Fours.
For all racing programs, including Monday’s rescheduled event, the gates open at 5:00 PM, with warm-ups at 6:00 PM and racing at 7:00 PM.
