Dominick Hunter Wins the Vintage Modified Main Event

South Sound Speedway on Saturday August 10, 2024, was full of excitement with four classes on hand. Vintage Modifieds, 11 cars for 40-laps, Baby Grands, 7 cars for twin 20-lap mains, Olympia Overhead Doors Tuners, 21 cars for twin 25-lap mains, and NW Pro 4 Trucks, 11 cars for 48-laps.

Vintage Modifieds Main Event started with Travis Brown on the pole, and Kahl Cheth on the outside. Brown takes the lead on lap 1. Joey Cavin takes the lead on lap 3. On lap 6, turns 1 and 2, Brian Wilson taps Brown and Brown goes around, bringing out caution number 1. Dominick Hunter takes the lead on lap 7 and goes on to win the Vintage Modifieds 40-lap Main event, followed by Preston Duman, Steve Woods, Cavin, and Cheth to round out the top five.
Preston Duman had a fast time of 15.404.
Robert Monroe won the trophy dash.
Travis Brown wins heat race #1, and Steve Woods wins heat race #2.

The Baby Grand 1st Main Event started with William Potts on the pole, and Jamison Johnson on the outside. Johnson takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, back stretch, Steven Mitchell spins, and Peyton Presley clips him, bringing out caution number 1. Shawn Jones take the lead on lap 2 and goes on to win the 1st Baby Grand 20-lap Main event, followed by Johnson, Derrick Presley, Mitchell, and Mike Duman to round out the top five.
Baby Grand 2nd Main Event started with Mitchell on the pole, and Duman on the outside. Mitchell takes the lead on lap 1. Jones takes the lead on lap 8. On lap 10, turn 4, P. Presley spins, bringing out caution number 1. Jones goes on to win the 2nd Baby Grand 20-lap Main event, followed by Mitchell, Duman, D. Presley, and P. Presley to round out the top five.
Shawn Jones had a fast time of 15.1740.

The Tuner 1st Main Event started with MaryJane Gallwas on the pole, and Zachary Boyatt on the outside. After the green flag, turn 2, Shelby Padilla spins, bringing out caution number 1 and a complete re-start. On the re-start Padilla comes to a stop on the front stretch, bringing out caution number 2. Gallwas takes the lead on lap 1. On lap 1, turn 2, Royce Iversen and Dean Utterback get together, bringing out caution number 3. Artie Champ takes the lead on lap 2. Boyatt breaks out on lap 2. Boyatt breaks out again on lap 4. Royce Iversen breaks out on lap 7. Josh Levya breaks out on lap 8. On lap 8, Levya tries to pass Jeremy Cleveland and clips him and goes into the turn 1 wall, bringing out caution number 4. On the re-start of lap 8, J. Cleveland is slow on the back stretch, bringing out caution number 5. AJ Yocom takes the lead on lap 10. Brad Peterson takes the lead on lap 11. Yocom re-takes the lead on lap 12. Troy Hamilton takes the lead on lap 14. Jordan Peterson takes the lead on lap 15. Iversen breaks out on lap 15. Zach Wisely takes the lead on lap 16 and forget to take the leader cone, so gets black flagged. J. Peterson re-takes the lead on lap 18. Yocom breaks out on lap 18. B. Peterson takes the lead on lap 23. Jake Utterback takes the lead on lap 24. J. Peterson re-takes the lead on lap 25 and goes on to win the 1st Tuner 25-lap Main event, followed by J. Utterback, Chris Branon, A. Champ, and B. Peterson to round out the top five.
The Tuner 2nd Main Event started with D. Utterback on the pole, and Iversen on the outside. After the green flag, turns 1 & 2, Boyatt and D. Cleveland spin, bringing out caution number 1 and a complete re-start. D. Utterback takes the lead on lap 1. Iversen takes the lead on lap 3. Wisely takes the lead on lap 5. Iversen breaks out on lap 5. Artie Champ takes the lead on lap 6. Jake Utterback and Boyatt break out on lap 6. Wisely re-takes the lead on lap 8. A. Champ re-takes the lead on lap 9. Roy Talbott takes the lead on lap 12. On lap 12, turn 4, Talbott spins, bringing out cation number 2. Wisely re-takes the lead on lap 13. Talbott breaks out on lap 18. On lap 13, front stretch, Yocom spins, bringing out caution number 3. Talbott breaks out again on lap 15. Branon breaks out on lap 15. J. Peterson takes the lead on lap 17. J. Utterback breaks out on lap 18. D. Utterback, J. Peterson, Wisely, and Joe Champ swapped the lead back and forth. D. Utterback takes the lead on lap 25 and goes on to win the 2nd Tuner 25-lap Main event, followed by J. Peterson, J. Champ, Wisely, and Hamilton to round out the top five.
Note: Break out rule puts them a lap down and if in the lead black flagged to get them out of the way of the leaders

NW Pro 4 Truck Main Event started with Mason Warren on the pole, and Aaron Greene on the outside. Greene takes the lead on lap 1. Mckenna Cox takes the lead on lap 7. On lap 25, turn 1, Calvin Miller loses a drive line, bringing out caution number 1 and a red flag. Cole Kooy takes the lead on lap 44. Cox re-takes the lead on lap 45 and goes on to win the Pro 4 Truck 48-lap Main event, followed by Cole Kooy, Cody Kooy, Rod Helmuth, and Greene to round out the top five.
McKenna Cox had a fast time of 15.922.
Aaron Greene won the trophy dash.
Aaron Greene wins heat race #1, and Eric Angeledes wins heat race #2.
